Faded Hairstyle Scalp Micropigmentation
The SMP Fade (known in the barbering world as “the fade” or “a fade”) is a unique scalp micropigmentation technique that adds depth and definition to the sides of the scalp. This technique was created by Marc Allen and perfected by our head technician, John Douglas. Using the same combination of techniques as the Faded Hairline, the SMP Fade involves using lighter shades of pigment and building up density and shade behind the hairline, gradually fading out towards the sides. The result is a seamless blend between the pigmented area and the natural hair, creating a natural and subtle finish.
Marc’s extensive background as a barber means he has the expertise to offer this more complex finish. The SMP Fade is particularly effective for clients who want to add density and definition to the sides of their scalp, without creating a harsh or obvious line. The technique is suitable for all hair types and skin tones, and can be customized to meet each client’s individual needs and preferences.
At Creative Scalps Arizona, we pride ourselves on offering a wide range of scalp micropigmentation (SMP) techniques that are tailored to meet the unique needs of each client. Our team of experienced technicians is dedicated to helping clients achieve a natural and confident look that enhances their overall appearance. Whether you’re looking for a subtle and natural hairline, or a more defined and dramatic look, we have the expertise and skill to help you achieve your desired result.
FAQ’s
What is scalp micropigmentation (SMP)?
Cosmetic tattooing, also known as medical hair tattooing, gives the appearance of a shaved head by replicating hair follicles that are about to grow. SMP can treat hair loss anywhere on the scalp, even if the scalp is completely bald.
What is the cost?
$800 per session with a deposit of $300 to book your appointment. if you send us pictures of your hair loss, we can give you a precise quote with more information.
Will it look real?
The treatment at Creative Scalps will be undetectable; only you, the people you choose to tell, and Creative Scalps will know. Scalp micropigmentation gives the appearance of a shaved head or a stubble shadow.
How long will the treatment take?
This depends on how much hair is falling out. You can expect three to four sessions spread out over six to eight weeks. The duration of each session can range from two to four hours.
How do you choose the right colour shade?
This is done based on your skin tone and/or the color of your remaining hair. We have extensive experience working with a wide range of clients from all walks of life. Typically, the first session begins with a lighter shade, and as we progress through your treatment, we gradually increase density and darkness.
How do we choose the front hairline?
We can draw some hairlines on you after looking at some pictures of hairlines. When selecting hairlines, it is always best to avoid going too low the first time around. You would then have decided how low you want to go on the second visit. We can also create a variety of hairline styles based on your preferences, such as jagged, soft, slightly receding, edged up, and designs. Creative Scalps has developed methods and procedures to guarantee that your hairline will be in the right place and will complement your style. We have years of top-notch experience as barbers to ensure that this is done correctly.
Is SMP the same as a normal tattoo?
No. We employ a variety of pigments, inks, machines, needles, and methods. Scalp micropigmentation is a highly specialized procedure that can only be performed by highly skilled technicians.
Will it damage existing hair?
No, because the needle only penetrates the upper dermis, the treatment has actually been shown to encourage hair growth.
Are the results permanent?
Depending on lifestyle and immune system, treatment outcomes last for years. In order to maintain the freshness of their new style, many clients like to have a top-up session every two to three years.
How much does a top-up session cost?
Prices for TOP-UP $800. Prices for a previous customer can range anywhere from $300 to $600.
Can I go the gym or do any sort of training after treatment?
After each treatment, you should allow the treatment to dry heal for four days for the best results. This would entail avoiding sweat, water, and all creams, lotions, and the like.
After this time, you can gradually increase your activity.
Will my head be red/sore and how long will this last?
Depending on their skin type, everyone is unique. In order to ensure that you leave the clinic looking and feeling great, our technician will clean your treatment and apply an anti-redness topical anesthetic right away. In most cases, the redness will last for one or two days.
Is the treatment safe?
We use sterile equipment and brand-new packaged needles for every procedure, ensuring that the treatment is completely risk-free. We are fully insured and regulated, and we take health and safety very seriously.
Does the colour discolour (turn orange/blue)?
No, as our only black pigment is carbon-based and diluted to match your skin tone.
Do you match direction of hair growth?
Yes, for the most accurate results, hair growth direction is always taken into account.
Does the treatment hurt?
The honest response is that, as with any tattoo procedure, you will experience discomfort. On the day of treatment, we advise clients to have eaten well and be in good health. In the days and weeks leading up to your procedure, we also recommend moisturizing the scalp twice daily as part of our pre-treatment advice. The skin will feel softer as a result. The joy you’ll experience after resolving your hair loss issues will far outweigh any treatment discomfort.
How flexible are you on bookings?
We can easily accommodate your work or social schedule, and weekends with late nights and early mornings are acceptable. Because Creative Scalps employs one of the most skilled and experienced technicians in the world, we occasionally have waiting lists that last anywhere from four to six weeks.
